| Aims: | To explore the concept of inclusion and related values, principles and legislation and their implications for developing policy classroom practice To apply this, within the context of A Curriculum for Excellence to a critical review of current practice To examine a range of curriculum strategies and their significance in addressing the range of learning needs To identify features of good practice in inclusive classrooms To examine the importance of collaborative practice and integrated assessment in getting it right for every child (GIRFEC) – using the assessment triangle To consider the perspective and entitlements of parents/carers, children and young people To test and apply a framework for audit and to use this to undertake a review of practice in the participants' own context To draw on the outcomes of this review to inform action planning and the celebration of success |
