Two Academies have also participated in Team Leadership for Learning training

What have we done?

Classic Masterclass Whiteboard Project

Classic Masterclassers were given a whiteboard and projector. After classroom use an evaluation was compiled which led to a subsidy being offered to all primary schools. This was rolled out at the beginning of January 2006 and familiarisation training provided.

What are our Leadership for Learning Heads Working towards?

Providing inspiration and effective leadership in the embedded use of ICT in learning, teaching and management
Developing and sharing expectations of good management of ICT at all levels
Promoting the strategic leadership of ICT
Using self-evaluation as a measure of success which informs a strategy for improvement
Promoting the importance of ICT in the support of students with additional support needs
Encouraging use of interactive whiteboards, digital video and effective resources including NGfL activities
Working with library staff on information skills
Use of Heads Together
Developing ICT skills as ongoing Staff CPD

A Masterclass recall day was held on 29 th March 2006: The purpose of the day was to:

• Raise awareness of the impact of SSDN on Masterclass

• Gather information which will inform the future role of Aberdeenshire Masterclass Community

Early Years Classic Masterclass Leadership for Learning

Masterclassers contributed to the Authority’s consultation process by participating in a Hopes and Fears Workshop and determining the SSDN mentor remit. Volunteers became part of the SSDN training plan strategy and consultation groups and were involved in interviews for SSDN mentors.
